Shop Side Browser — Privacy statement

Last updated October 22, 2026. Applies to the Shop Side Browser add-on for Chrome and Zen.

What it collects

Nothing. The add-on does not collect, sell, share or send any personal data, browsing history, form contents, passwords or cookies to its developer or anyone else.

What stays on your computer

Side panel tabs, settings and your bookmark list are saved in your browser's own storage (Chrome sync if you have it turned on). You can remove them by removing the add-on.

Network requests

Sites you open in the side panel load directly from those sites, signed in with your own browser logins. To check for updates, the add-on reads one public version file from zeus.cbacres.ca. That request sends no cookies and no personal data.

Permissions

Frame rules apply only to pages shown inside the add-on's side panel (on sites you allowed) and to YouTube, Google Chat and Grok shown inside the Shop Status page. Normal tabs are untouched. The add-on clears only the service-worker data of youtube.com and chat.google.com, so those sites can load in a frame. Access to other sites is asked for only when you open one, through Chrome's own prompt.
